At work in a temple in the cold!

Dear Family, Friends and Colleagues,

Today we woke up to snow on the mountains and icy rain. It was very cold. However, nothing will deter us from working in the small jewel of a community temple, called Lama Guan! The head rinpoche is there every day working with us, and he encourages his community to stop in and ask questions.

Two other communities have invited me and a team of conservators to travel to their community for preservation of their remote and traditional community treasures.

Here are some images for you about today’s work!

Good morning!

The Rinpoche of the small temple we are working in, comes every day and works hands-on to save his family treasures. It is a family lineage temple and his son will inherit it.

Everything out of place in the temple, in the midst of our conservation work.

A letter from Mingyur Rinpoche to raise funds for our work in Nubri, the home of his family, also in the remote Himalayan region.
